Going to UK
Obviously, you will have to plan your trip before going to UK. There are so many things we don’t always think about!
Don’t worry! Read the essential steps below:
1- Shake if your documentation is up-to-date
2- Choose carefully the company you will travel with (you might have some weight restrictions, prices vary…). There are more than 40 airports in the UK, many of which fly to and from international destinations.
3- Try to arrive on a weekday (Monday to Friday) and in the morning as trains, buses or taxis may not run throughout the night. Then it will be easier for you to buy some food and the first essential stuff (food, phone…)
4- Arrange before arriving the transfer to your accomodation, university or hostel. It will be stressless for you to know what you will have to do when arriving in the country.
5- Try to have some prior appointments to visit flats (you need a budget to live the first days/weeks at the hostel, to pay your food, transport, etc.)
6- When you get a flat, try to open a bank account (very helpful not to pay commissions for every transaction)
We can’t give you the exhaustive list of all the companies you can travel with to go to UK but if you plan to take a plane from Spain, France or Germany for example, you can fly with Easyjet or Ryanair.
If you leave from Saudi Arabia, you can fly with Emirates, bmi, British Airways. There are so many possibilities that we recommend you to check what are the most common companies to travel with from your country.
To make your trip easier, you can also contract a travel agent in your home country.
